Fluid in my pelvis !

I recently went to A&E as i was in severe pain and they scanned me and told me that i had fluid in my pelvis and then sent me home with tramadol (painkillers). Has anyone else been told that they have fluid in their pelvis and if so what happens next?

Hi welsh lady, yes the exact same thing happened me last weekend would u believe! I posted a question about whether to go to a&e or not but I was glad I did. I had free fluid too and ive had it before, from what I've been told it could just be blood from your endo or a burst cyst, something along those lines, but I think your body gets rid of it itself, they've never done surgery on me purely for that, I guess if there's loads of fluid they would drain it mayb but if they've sent you home they must think it'll settle itself. But deffo if ur waiting on a referral to your gynae chase it up. Rach xo
