hi - yes, the last 35 days i have bled for 23 of those but not in a straight run, there has obviously been the odd days break :/ - i keep a diary of my periods, only because they told me to when i had my mirena put in last july, which was supposed to help with the heavy periods and chronic pain. nine months on i'm still bleeding more often than not, the pain is worse than ever - from my diary i've worked out i'm bleeding about 60% of the time, that doesn't include days where i'm spotting or weird mucous stuff either, so i cannot remember what its like not to wear some sort of sanitary product as i daren't not.

what sort of treatment have you had so far? maybe keep a diary of the days you bleed, i've stopped keeping a detailed diary of symptoms as they never really look at those but with facts as to how often bleeding occurs they have to realise that its not normal.

hope you get sorted out xx

Yip, been there got the T-shirt. I had the merina put in Aug 2009 and it's only 3 months ago they decided to give me Zoladex injections and after an initial flare of symptoms, I've totally stopped bleeding and pain is about 5% of what it was before.

Maybe you could ask the merina coil, or if you already have that, then maybe you could ask for zoladex / prostap if your symptoms are driving you nuts.

Hope you get it sorted out, have a good old moan at the doctors!

Xxx

When I had the implant, (implanon) my cycle was the opposite. I bled for 3 weeks and had one week off. This went on for about 6 months, I then decided to have it removed. This was pre endo diagnosis. Different women react differently to different treatments. One size does NOT fit all.

Speak to your Doctor for guidance, I made sure I ate really well to try and keep myself energized when bleeding all the time. It is super annoying and I understand why you feel at your wits end. Stay strong........question the doctor.

Good Luck

Thanks for the comments ladies. I think I do need to go back to my Doctors as I haven't stopped bleeding and it's been 3 weeks now! I really scared at going back to my GP as I feel that I am left with the option of having an hysterectomy. I have been on the Pill and it didn't work. The only thing was the Zoladex but I was only on that for 3 months as my consultant wanted to see if that mediciation reduced the tumor marker which it did fortunately. thanks again xx
