Combined Mini Pill

Hi, following referral to clinic I have now been given yet another pill to try. I was wondering does anyone have experience using the combined mini pill? I have been told to expect irregular bleeding or expect my periods whenever really and to take this pill back to back and not stop. Following shedding the decidual cast last time I’m worried I may experience that again and was told by the clinic that if it is to happen again to just go to a&e or ring a specific number. The pain was horrific and I do not want to experience that as a result of pills again.

Does anyone know what I am to expect and how to manage. As I extremely heavily bleed currently I’ve very worried to begin a pill where I can’t predict how frequent they may or may not be and how I will manage.

I take a combined pill and I do have to say they're not for everyone. I've gone through about 10 different versions to find the right one as my doctor insists it's the only thing to help control my periods (though I hate that they wont give me any other solution). You will experience some irregular bleeding to begin with as your body gets used to it, it usually takes about 3 months to know if it's working right for you. The current one I'm using I've been on for about 3 years now, it has helped control my bleeding but I do take a weeks break every 3 months as I've found if I go longer I will just start randomly bleeding so the doctors suggested I use mine that way. Unfortunately it has given me quite bad acne too but as its helping me with the endometriosis and other issues I've had to put up with that! I hope it works okay for you, if you have any other questions I'm happy to help as I've been trying different combined pills for almost 10 years now :)

I took Noriday for probably about 8 years, had irregular bleeding for quite a long time, maybe 6 months but eventually no periods and my friend had the same experience so it may be worth bearing with it. We both had light bleeding with it too so although it was irregular it was light.
