Hi all,
I've previously only made one post here and since then I've made a really important discovery about my personal pain. Usually I experience intense pain such as the following I shared in my first post:
"I will be woken up in the night with mild ovary cramps (a sign that it's about to get worse), before this quickly evolves into nausea, full body shock/pain, unable to move, talk or breathe normally because of the pain - I also develop a full fever and sweat uncontrollably (beads of fluid run off my entire body for at least 30 minutes and drench my clothes and bedsheets). This can all last between 30-120 minutes at present."
Usually when this type of pain would start and throughout, I would curl up on my side in fetal position - as this is just the position my body would naturally want to go into, to deal with the pain. But in my previous period I discovered that this position was making my pains worse!!! It's actually much better if I prop myself into a sitting position with cushions at a 45 degree angle and keep my legs straight. Naturally it feels uncomfortable, I want to curl up and I am still in pain but it's nowhere near the levels described above. I'm just sharing in the hopes that maybe it can help someone else on here.
Obviously all our bodies are different (preaching to the choir here, to everyone with ovaries lol) and I understand this won't work for everyone but I'm hopeful it could help someone. Failing that, this is a super important discovery I have made about myself (: Hopefully it will prevent my pains becoming that bad again (fingers crossed).
