Mirena Coil for nearly 3 years and having issues

Hi everyone. I had my first laparoscopy in May 2022 and was diagnosed with Stage 2 endometriosis and Bowel Endometriosis. I was also fitted with a mirena coil. I've had a period throughout, the most I've gone without one is 2 months. Now things are starting to get more unsettled, I've just had a period that lasted 12 days, had 18 days off and back on again. Is this normal? Do I need to speak to a GP? Does my coil need replacing? I'm just feeling lost and slightly overwhelmed with this and fearing things are getting bad again, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

hey

Sorry things are getting unstable for you.

I’ve had the coil 2years now - my periods have been irregular still and pretty much on 2x per month. For me it’s stopped the amount of bleeding and being on constantly so to me it’s a blessing. I do fear my body getting used to coil and going to normal as this has happened with many pill and implant.

If I where you I’d speak with GP or specialist-

Hope you get some help x
