Post Decapeptyl period return?

Hello!

I had monthly Decapeptyl injections for nearly three years and I am 42. I decided to take a break for various reasons, so have now had three months with no injection and stopped taking my low dose HRT two months ago. I'd had no advice on that bit and unbelievably forgot to ask. My six monthly review happened a month ago and I was already feeling cyclical pain. I was told I can restart the injection at any point if it gets too much. This is increasing but is nowhere near as bad as it was pre-treatment and I have not had a period yet, so just waiting to see.

I know everyone is different, but could anyone please tell me how long it took to get your cycle back and, if it never happened, what age you were when you stopped the injections and how long you'd had them for? I'm just really nervous about my cycle returning and whether I should expect it to be all as bad as it was before injections and surgery. Thank you for any info you can give!
