Hi I was just diagnosed with endometriosis, I have an endometrioma of 6cm and have been struggling to conveive I was wondering if anyone has had the surgery done privately, any recommendations of private hospitals to try and the price range. I had company private health care when I had my operations so can’t remember the costs I’m afraid but I do know I’m very grateful that I did because I had nothing but mistakes when I had treatment under the NHS initially. I have been back to see a consultant recently and I no longer have private health cover and the consultation cost me £250.

Thanks you, it's taking forever to get an appointment under the NHS

It’s crazy. Same with my GP surgery however when I pop in to drop off a prescription there’s no one there!

Hi I have had a laparoscopy and paid privately. To give you an idea of cost I was £5,500, which included the £200 consultation fee. Please note that you can have a consultation privately and go back onto NHS waiting list. I know that you can obtain a price online without pressure to go privately.

I don’t know if I’m allowed to say what company I went private with but PM me and I can tell you x

hey! I’m in the same boat as you - got diagnosed last year and they found endometriomas on both ovaries. I’ve been doing it all privately because my GP just didn’t want to hear about it and we want to try for kids this year.

We’ve just asked for a quote for surgery privately through my consultant and it’s about £7500. It’s a guaranteed quote so if any complications arise they will cover those costs. And it covers a post-op consultation with my consultant.

We are now just waiting on a date!

Hope this helps!
