Prescribed pain relief side effects

Does anyone else get just some random side effects from codeine or adjacent medication? I'm on dihydrocodeine after cocodomal hadn't worked and I basically sleep the whole next day, I have very weird and vivid dreams and I believe my newly found gastrointestinal issues are a symptom of codeine use rather than endo.

But yeah does anyone get any (not to sound like that but) quirky(?) side effects?

In a note of light heartedness if anyone wants to know about my odd dreams lmk! I don't remeber dreams often but when I've had this medication back to back (per dosage) I get the weirdest dreams ever

Yes I do indeed get very strange dreams taking codeine, to be honest the next day I just feel like I am having an outer body experience, my brain feels like it has got up and left the building!

I think it is quite a common side effect and it does pass. 🙂

Absolutely yes! And I've heard of it when given codeine in hospital but didn't realise it was so common with the prescribed dosage.Thank you :)
