1. Pain getting triggered because of periods(starts between 3-5th day) which lasts for between 12-26 days
2. Lower abdomen+pelvic(in the middle + left side) (more on the pelvic region)
3. Feels constipated usually, passing gas. On rare occasions, diarrhoea.
4. Pain in the lower back.
5. No food sensitivity to most of the foods when the pain isn’t there.
6. Shooting pain or feels like there are red boils down there and I want to scrape it with a knife.
7. The pain is either constant or comes and goes in waves.
8. The first time was in 2019/20. It used to occur once in a couple of months but the frequency of that has increased since last year( every month).
9. The frequency of the pain increased when I started going to the gym last year and used to eat a lot of protein.
10. Also, I used to mostly eat junk food until last year.
11. I think the pain also worsens because of anxiety at times and when I move around a lot.
12. 95% of the times , the pain starts on 2/3rd day of periods. If not, it starts out of random, either due to food or some other issue. Haven’t figured this one out yet.
13. Periods last for 3/4 days and the flow is less after the 2nd day usually.
14. Extreme pain while having sex and a bit of pain even after it gets over.

hi hun I was exactly the same as you but I used to bleed for 2/3 weeks and had bad pain as all listed above I was finally diagnosed with adenomyosis and endo and now waiting for surgery .. keep pushing until I get an answer don’t let them fob you off
This sounds like it could be endometriosis, but also possibly uncontrolled IBS/IBD.
Definitely contact your healthcare professional and start pushing for investigation and diagnosis.
In the meantime you could try changing your diet to an IBD diet and see if this improves your symtpoms. Unfortunately, with endometriosis you often have to try things yourself as wait times can be horrendous.
Pelvic pain, lower back pain, related to you period, severe pain at times, pain during sex, pain can be worse with exercising, all typical of endometriosis. These are the symptoms to emphasise to your GP re possible endo,
The bowel symptoms could be related or could be something else, as suggested. Changing hormones during your cycle can sometimes have this effect.
I don’t know about the food sensitivity, haven’t experienced this myself but some people with endo find that eliminating eg dairy, gluten, sugar helps them. There will be old posts on this site that relate to that.
I would still recommend going to your GP to discuss the possibility of endo and getting a referral. Waiting lists are long. You can try dietary changes at the same time.
