Upcoming op advice

I've been on the waiting list for laparoscopic adhesiolysis since March, I was told 8 to 12 months. I recieved notification of a telephone consultation booked for 15th October to finalise plans for the op. That's 7 months into my wait, so am I to assume (hope!) that it will be soon after? I was given a week's notice for my diagnostic lap in March and I'm worried it'll be the same for this one. I'm a self employed and I'm just about to finish booking out September with clients. I wish I knew when it'll be and how long I'll need to book off! It's so difficult when you're self employed!

I know everyone is different, but if I'm having extensive adhesiolysis of the ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, vesicouterine pouch, bladder, bowels and liver, as well as TCRE removal of the endometrium, how long should I expect to need to recover? I took the full two weeks after my diagnostic lap.

the wait times are frustrating! I’d snuggest ‘chasing’ the constant’s PA ask gif a time line as she is able to raise your concerns.

I was lost in a list and then called a long waiter… things now appear to me moving along.

Wishing you all the best ☀️

Hi, I would suggest calling the gynae secretaries and asking them, they should be able to advise or get a message to your doctor for you.

About recovery- I had surgery in March, quite a lot done and needed 6 weeks off work then returned on phased return. Like you say everyone is different but I wouldn't put a timeframe in your mind or set expectations for yourself. Your body will heal in its own time, I understand how frustrating this can be but you'll only set yourself back by returning too quickly x
