I have informed my insurers that I have Endo. Since taking out the policy, I have undergone a diagnostic laparoscopy so know more details as to the what is going on e.g. obliterated PoD and proven pelvis. I have also been offered a hysterectomy but also told I can continue ‘watchful waiting’.

Do I need to update them or is the fact I have told them about Endo enough?

I don't think so but worth letting them know. I have just took out a policy for endo (eventually found someone who will!). I am on the urgent list for full hysterectomy, bladder and bowel resection, appendix removal and perm stoma bag. They just made a note of this but still covered me xxx

Thank you, Nickyaa.

I called them and they cancelled my insurance! Luckily they then guided me to a website specifically aimed at people with medical conditions- the response from the new company was fantastic, totally reassuring and made notes on my file of all of the damage caused by Endo.

It cost an extra hundred pounds but money well spent for peace of mind.

I’m now looking out at the ocean, it’s 26 degrees and I’m happy.

Ido hope your surgery goes well, and thanks for taking the time to reply.
