Hi, very strange post! Hoping someone can offer me some advice!
I was diagnosed with endo inside the bladder last year, I have since tried to get life insurance to protect my family, but the insurance companies keep coming back refusing my application as endo is a ‘chronic condition’.
Has anyone successfully applied for life insurance after a confirmed endo diagnosis? If so, can I ask which insurance company accepted you? Thank you!

Why does Endo make everything so difficult! Did they give you any specific reasons? I have allowed them to view my medical records and was up front about everything but they still said no. Don’t know what to do now, just want to protect my family.
I absolutely agree, I went with complete transparency and it really bit me in the arse! I genuinely don't know where to go from here. In all honesty the thing they focussed on most was the mental health side, which truly surprised me as the majority of people suffer with their mental health in some way or another. They basically just said due to my current medical history i am uninsurable...I kind of have up after that. I don't work and haven't build up a big pension, I would love to leave more to look after my family but I just don't know how x
You would think in today’s world with life stresses they would struggle to find people who haven’t suffered with their mental health at some point. I suffer with anxiety but they didn’t mention that at all, they focused everything on the uncertainty of endo - wonder if they were being honest or if the anxiety also played a part?
I have health insurance and life insurance but this was before the endo diagnosis. They cannot refuse payments on the basis of it being a “chronic condition” unless specifically states in a clause within their terms and conditions. I would go through your terms and conditions.
Also, there are many providers that would accept chronic conditions especially those that do not impact your life span such as endometriosis. Endometriosis increases the risk of certain cancers but that would be stated clearly in the terms of the insurance you are buying at the time of purchase. Hope this helps.
Hi Eraj, I havent contacted Benenden Health yet, but it is on my ever increasing list to do, just having a flare up and really struggling with fatigue 😩
I had no luck. I have had my endo op though and they've told me if it shows no sign of returning 365 post operation they'll insure me. I can't remember exactly which insurers that was but two separate companies informed me that was their policy.
