Hi. Recently I had an MRI of pelvis and abdo and it says this. I have a history of endometriosis from 2008 and had 3 times surgery to repair but this recent MRI 2023 shows..." There is evidence of deep pelvic endometriosis with a torus plaque tethering the recto sigmoid and both adnexa and possibly also the posterior fornix of vagina". What does this 👆mean above result.
From previous scans. I have also 2 cervix. In both ovary a simple cyst, on the right is a 4cm and left one is 2cm. Also a bicornuate uterus with two cervical canal. My Gynaecologist told I am in the menopause. But I do have some very light bleeding which is coming and going.
But I am not in any severe pain🙏. My Ca-125 result is 14.
Thank you for any replies.

The recto sigmoid is the last part of the large bowel, sounds like it might be tethered to uterus.
You mentioned the consultant thinks you are in menopause, are they saying that the Endo will disappear because of menopause? They know that’s not correct these days
She told I was not bleeding due to endometriosis but it isn't correct as you say too cos I have slight bleeding. My last period was in Dec 2022 but endo can surely interferes with bleeding. And endometriosis used to give me a lot of pain in the past. I had 3 times surgery to remove in 2009 and since was no pain but recently I am having lower abdo pain too. So, it's all so confusing me.
Doc told as well due 3 times surgery there is a big scar tissue which attached to bowel. But gyane doc told is risky to do surgery as I can end up with a stoma bag which I don't want.
Might be peri menopause, have they tested hormone levels?
Adhesions can cause pain, they’ll always say surgery causes adhesions but I had them before any surgery, potentially Endo is an inflammatory disease and likely caused my adhesions.
That’s good you haven’t had pain for so long. The bleeding isn’t out of the rectum is it?
Have they mentioned further surgery or will you see how it goes?
Hello, one of the Gynaecologist told yes that I am in the perimenopause and had a very recent chat with a different Gynaecologist who already says that I am in the menopause but she is uncorrect. The bleeding isn't from the rectum. The latest doc told only will consider surgery when I am in severe pain and heavy bleeding. I am not in severe but moderate pain and is actually for me is heavy bleeding as I never had one, not even in my regular period time and some clots coming too. So, I little concern so I contacted my GP today. Thanks for replies. Much appreciated.
Shows how views differ so much, you would think they’d test to check. You know your body and bleeding. These days we have to really persevere to get what we hope would be the best path, don’t give up from one gynaecologist
If I could go back to my teens I’d get it looked into and an op to remove all Endo. From my experience and the likely damage it’s caused there is all likelihood the sooner it’s removed the better, but that is still anyones guess unfortunately.
Unfortunately I can't control whom is going to be on a day in that clinic in Whittington hosp as it even only runs once a week. I would not go to the surgery unless is an emergency.
