Diaphragmatic and/or Umbilical Endo

Hi

Please could anyone with diagnosed diaphragmatic or umbilical endo advise of their symptoms and anything that helped besides surgery for associated symptoms? I strongly suspect endo has spread with the symptoms experiencing and waiting to get back into endo clinic for referral for second surgery but struggling to find more specific symptoms and support outside of the usual endo lists.

There’s a diaphragmatic Endo group on FB which is really helpful. My diaphragm symptoms are sometimes tight chest feeling, shoulder, neck and jaw pain which triggers headaches. I don’t know if I have umbilical Endo but I definitely have it on my abdominal wall and my main symptom is that I can’t pull my stomach in (bizarre I know!)

I have a history of severe endometriosis around umbilicus which has resulted in three hernias close to the umbilicus. I get severe burning type endometriosis pain in the area when it is playing up. Also have problems with severe cyclical pain in the ribs on right side. I can get very tired just from a long conversation. It's a deep burning and very debilitating pain.

I hope this helps but I think everyone has varying symptoms.

Best wishes with your ongoing treatment.

I’ve just read this and realised I also had an umbilical hernia but I didn’t realise this could be connected to Endo! x
