I'm planning to see a doctor but i was hoping you could help me as i'm not sure whether i need to see my endo doctor or my gp...i've recently been told i have diaphragmatic endo and my symptoms are generally a right sided stitch type pain and mid back/right shoulder pain. I've recently started getting an aching pain in the centre of my chest and under my right breast. It's almost directly in front of where the back and shoulder pains are so i was wondering if it could be endo. The problem is i also have acid reflux and although i've never had a burning chest with my reflux (i have whats called silent reflux so it effects my throat but no heartburn) I'm now not sure if i need to see someone about my endo if it could be caused by that or get a referral for reflux. Does anyone have this with endo? If its unlikely to be endo i'll go down the reflux route.....thanks

Hi, thanks for replying. Its good to know it might be related. I've had heartburn a few times when i was pregnant but i've never had it these last few years since i got proper reflux. I've never had this chest pain with reflux and it doesnt feel like the heartburn i had when i was pregnant. Its just weird its in the exact same place at the frobt as my back and shoulder pain (which i was told was diaphragmatic endo) at the back. I havent been told what they're doing about the endo this time. I had the endo excised about 5 years ago in multiple places in my pelvis which helped a lot with the pain but now it looks like its reappeared in my diaphragm. They put me on the combined pill and i think they were hoping this would help but if this chest pain is endo it seems to have gotten worse. I have another appointment 6th Jan so i'll ask them about it then but i might see a GP for an ENT referral just to make sure. Have they told you what they're doing for you. I hope you find relief soon. Xx
Might be worth getting it checked, if nothing else it can rule other things out.I'm currently doing prostap injections in prep for full hysterectomy and removal of endo, should be getting appointment with consultant soon to go over op details. I hope things get sorted out for you soon
Thanks, will do. I have a call from the gp later today. I might speak to them about my anxiety/stress levels too because with all the pain i'm feeling a bit of mess at the moment. If this is reflux i dont think permanently being stressed is going to help because stress is a big trigger for my reflux anyway. Xx
Hi, i've tried everything i can think of for stress unfortunately but nothing really seems to work in the long run. The GP has recommended me trying a new acid reflux tablet and i've looked up some natural supplements i can take so if it is that hopefully it will help. She also said she'll send me for general blood tests next friday so i can have a 'general MOT' and put my mind at rest and also check for things like vitamin deficiencies and anemia. I have an endo appointment now on the 5th due to a cancellation so i'll chat to them about my symptoms too just in case it is endo. I have so many aches and pains nowadays its hard to know when i should speak to someone about it or whether to just put it down to what i already have! Xx
That's a good idea having a MOT, your stress levels might come down a bit when you know more.Good luck with your appointment tomorrow finger's crossed you get some answers
Hi, I have diaphragmatic endo, but have never experienced any type of reflux with it. Its more pain in the chest, under the ribs and in the shoulder. The pain does sound similar, but also sounds like there's some extra gastro problems ontop of it. Ive never experienced the dull pain in the centre of my chest - that sounds like it could be something else. Hope you can get this sorted 😊
