Gastric endo - help!

I haven’t posted in the longest time but really need some help.

I have extensive disease requiring surgery, thought to be bowel involvement. MRI due in the next week. I’ve been having dreadful constipation the last few weeks requiring manual evacuation (sorry TMI but it has been awful).

Then two days ago, just before my period started, I developed crippling nausea and a temperature, followed by diarrhoea. It wasn’t a complete evacuation - the bloated uncomfortable feeling still being there and essentially all I was producing was bile coloured water.

Went to hospital, X-ray showed bowel is bunged but not obstructed. Bloods fine but CRP up. Gynae wants me to hang on in there for the MRI and cope with symptoms. Diarrhoea is ongoing, vomiting just started after I tried to eat a slice of toast.

Is this typical for endo? I’m feeling quite frightened.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. For me, vomiting is a red flag. Please call 111 if you’re still vomiting, they should be able to advise/triage you.

Thanks, they advised to try and complete a course of laxatives over a two day period to try and clear the upper part of bowel. Then if I still can’t eat and am vomiting am to attend again at a&e.
