Attempting to conceive

hi everyone. In September last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo and slight adeno. We have just started trying for a baby, I am 29 and am wondering if there are any success stories on here with conceiving naturally? If so, how long did it take you to conceive?

Thankyou ❤️

when I was 28 I had an endometrioma removed and the endo ablated that they could see. I then had 6 months on Zoladex after which my surgeon said this would be the best time for you to have a baby. I do believe I got lucky as I fell pregnant very quickly at 29 then again when I was 32. I do believe I was lucky but it can happen. My endo was stage 4 and I went on to have a further 8 ops but I didn’t care because I had my babies. I wish you the best of luck in your journey too. This was 20 yrs ago and things have improved since then too.

Hi. I didnt know until recently that i had Endo. I had been suffering really bad periods after a miscarriage. I was nearly 2 years of getting bloods taken, scans and an MRI, all the while trying to conceive. My diagnosis of Endo came when i was 12 weeks pregnant. Conceived naturally. Consultant confirmed Endo played a part in it but its not impossible. I now have 2 chocolate cysts [1 in my ovary and 1 behind my uterus] and they need to keep a close eye on them. I am so worried. I put a post on here a couple of weeks ago to see if anyone has had a similar story. All the best to you. All i can say is keep trying :) I am due to have my 20 week scan next week where they will monitor the size of the cysts.

I have suffered with endo for almost a decade. I finally got an official diagnosis this month of stage 3 endo. I have two endometriomas (one on each ovary). In addition to the endo and endometriomas I also have a heart shaped uterus. My doctor said this tends to be more common in endo patients. My husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child for the past 5 months with no success. I am planning to have surgery next month to remove the endometriomas and endo adhesions.

I did however get pregnant naturally with our first child. It took us about 4 or 5 months of trying until we successfully got pregnant. I definitely had endo when we conceived our first child. It is definitely possible to get pregnant naturally with endo, it just tends to take more time unfortunately.

I was diagnosed with endo & adeno in 2021 when we were trying to conceive. I was told my tubes were damaged & blocked so best chance was surgery & IVF. We did a round of IVF in April 2022 & managed to freeze 2 embryos. I was then waiting for a date for surgery to remove my tubes & cysts on ovaries. Surgery was booked for Dec 2022 but it never happened as 2 days before my surgery date I found out I was pregnant. My 1st positive after 3.5 years of trying. I was 35. My son is now 6 months old. Miracles can happen xx

I am trying as well (we just started)

It’s hard to find stories from people that could match with your endo.

In my case I have stage 4, got a lap last year but didn’t remove anything, he just made a small cut to “free” my ovaries from getting stuck against my uterus. If i listen to anybody online my chances are low. However, my specialist told me that i have stage 4 bowel endo meaning i have bad endo yes but nothing on my ovaries or tubes and he said he could see eggs. So i want to belive i can conceive naturally.

It is hard to find people who relates. My friends don’t have endo so for them during ovulation it was just high sex drive ans fireworks. While me I am usually in pain during those days so harder to me in the mood for baby making.

I wish you all the best. Hope we can have a happy story to tell others :)

Hi,I'm in a similar situation, had two ovarian cysts removed but wasn't until last year that they diagnosed stage 4 endo, however I feel like I'm running out of time as I'm 35. However me and my husband saw the Dr today, starting the first lot of tests then referring me to a specialist (as my consultant recommended). So at the moment feeling slightly optimistic, will have to see what happens next.

Hi, I'm in a similar situation to you and similar age! Hope you don't mind me asking, did they refer you to a fertility doctor proactively before a particular time period?

Following also as in similar situation (but in my mid thirties). Have deep infiltrating endo involving my bladder and bowel (and ligaments etc), and a bit of adenomyosis. I'm 2 years post surgery (but residual endo and adeno in bowel/bladder on MRI with some adhesions) and just TTC now.

Feeling anxious but hearing some positive stories does help <3

Sending loads of luck to those in similar position
