I finally have a surgery date after first being referred to gynae August 2022. I had an MRI between this time which confirmed endometriosis so hoping this surgery will help with pain 🤞

Any tips post op? How long did people have off after it? I’m guessing it depends what they actually find when they go in?

Hi Emma. I’m having my third surgery next Sat. I had between 2-3 weeks off work for the last two surgeries, but have been told it will be 4-6 weeks this time. It really depends on the complexity of the surgery, as well as things like your level of fitness, what kind of work you do (I’m lucky as I mainly work from home so will ease myself back in by doing an hour or so a day until I’m hopefully back to full time in 4 weeks). I would reach out to your gynae’s secretary to find out what time period you’ll be given.

Good luck with it all!
