late period waiting to start ivf

so my period is normally regular - waiting on it to start so I can begin my first ever IVF, I am very anxious about it and of course it’s now been a week late!!!! Never happens. I’ve stage 4 endo and chances of ivf working are v slim, but of course now I’m thinking all sorts, maybe somethings wrong or I’m going into menopause, or an ectopic pregnancy etc (pregnancy tests all negative ). I had ridiculously bad pain one week ago and just thought it was an endo flare but now im just worried about everything! Could anyone talk me down please?! Is it likely just stress? And will it impact on me being allowed to do ivf?!

When I went through IVF there was a month a didn’t ovulate at all purely due to stress. You have so much going on in your mind so that could be the reason.

Try relax in some way that suits you.

Right now I wouldn’t think it would stop your IVF completely but if it’s ongoing then you will need it investigated.

Try calling the centre that is doing your IVF and explain what’s happened and see what their professional advice is.

Sending you hugs as I remember how hard it was back when I was trying to have my babies with all the emotional stress, peoples comments, health issues etc.

Thanks so much. I know, I’m just spiralling, normally I am very regular and of course this is the first time it’s ever been this late!! It is so so hard to relax. I am so uptight and worried and literally feel like life is on hold! X

I had exactly the same, my period was a week late before my first round of ivf. The nurses said it’s very common due to stress. It will come (if all tests are neg) so please don’t worry. I also have stage 4 endo, you’ve got this and please believe it’ll work for you as it has done for many women in our positions ♥️ good luck x

Thank you! I just imagine if it comes at the weekend they’ll not let me start again til next month (same thing happened last month) and I’m literally just living life in hold waiting waiting. Thanks for the kind words, my chances are very small but trying to hold on to some hope xx
