So after a year of waiting I finally got an appointment to see a gastro specialist who rushed me through for a colonoscopy, He mentioned that he also suspected endometriosis and arranged an appointment for me for two weeks after we spoke,
Obviously due to the sedative I can't remember most of the colonoscopy except the painful parts but they have taken two biopsies and my paper work mentions that they found an area that could be effected by endometriosis,
I guess my question is could this finally end in a diagnosis or am I still going to be waiting months for a gyno specialist appointment and potentially a laposcopy to finally get that piece of paper that says I have endometriosis??

My understanding is that a colonoscopy is more useful for excluding other causes and health conditions than for diagnosing endometriosis.
Whether your report says suspected endometriosis or actually diagnoses endometriosis probably won't make much difference ...
You would still need a laparoscopy if you want to know the extent of the endometriosis or the staging, and the best treatment options.
Doctors may prescribe less invasive treatment options on the basis of suspected endometriosis (with or without colonoscopy) but for more aggressive treatment you'd need a laparoscopy regardless.
Lissss is correct a colonoscopy won't find endo. I had one done with stage 4 endo through the bowel, because the endo grows on the outside of the bowel. You need and MRI the colonoscopy is to rule out bowel cancer, polyps etc. It's not the scan used to diagnose endo at all, so you will need another one . I guess you could have an MRI and see a gynae privately, that might help or the gastro guy you saw could recommend you to a gynae colleague, that might be your best bet so ask. Sorry can't give you more encouraginging feedback.
