Hello All,

I’ve been taking Cerazette for 2 months now to slow the growth of Endometriosis after my laparoscopy.

I don’t feel myself at all, I feel very anxious, very low and irritable. I’m sure it’s this pill. It’s also affecting my sleep. Has anyone had anything similar? Has anyone changed on to anything different with better results?

Thanks kindly ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I am not surprised that you are having those symptoms with your mood because the mini pill is progesterone only. I had pmdd so I know those feelings very well mentally I can’t cope without oestrogen. I went through a few different combined pills but I am happiest and feel like a normal person again on femodette, my endometriosis specialist said it’s perfectly fine for people with endo to be on the combined pill because it still contains progesterone but also has some oestrogen to stop the anxiety ans other side effects of taking just progesterone alone.

Hope this helps xx

Be mindful with the coil I noticed some people had suggested this because it’s also progesterone only and once it’s in it’s in unlike the pill when you don’t get on with it you can stop and change but I always refused the coil and I’m glad I did as having some oestrogen has been a life changer for me. Discuss with your gp I found mine very helpful I know not all of them are but the pills have been around for a long time so they do know more about them than a lot of other medicines.

Yes, I had problems with it this time, which was weird because I took it with no problem in the past. But our bodies change and so it's worth asking your doctor to give you a different one to try I would have thought.

if you’re struggling to sleep, I’ve used melatonin to help sleep. It’s a natural pill to aid in sleep.

As for contraception I’m on the nexplanon implant at present but they are doing surgery soon and placing a mirena coil in at the same time as that can help with endo and adeno. Have you considered the coil?
