Hi guys,I need help with being pointed in the right direction. I Fought so hard trying to get under the best care back home in England. After 6 years I was finally under the care of the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford, and having a relatively pain free life. I finally felt great and in 2018 I found myself in love with an Irish man. I made the move to NI, putting all of my own health journey behind me.
I tried to make sure that when I moved I would still be in the system incase of any possible future flareups.
I ended up under the care of a consultant, who I've only seen (I think) in 2019, its been 4 years. I have been struggling pretty bad the last few years, and cant seem to get any appointments. Recently I found out that she has actually left and that my care was not transferred to another consultant. I'm heartbroken. I can't start this process all over again. I don't know what to do going from here. Are there any ladies here from NI that can point me in a direction? Thank you in advance, xx

Hi Tammy280990, I am in NI. It depends if you are looking to go private for treatment? I was recently told by my GP the waiting time for non-urgent gynae surgeries in NI is 3 years!! I am going for a private appointment with a consultant at the Ulster Independent Clinic. I will send you the consultants name via PM.
Have a look at a private health insurance call Benenden. It’s £13 a month and after 6 months you can get diagnostics and treatment. The NHS wait list is so long so I’m sure you’ll get seen. They cover you with £2,500 for scans, blood, etc. I called and told them that my consultant wanted to do a Laparoscopy and they covered me straight away. You also get access to 24 hour GP and mental health appointments.
I saw someone in Swansea called Professor Bunkhela and he’s the best. He has awards, his own clinics for endo and IVF. If you can afford it and get to Swansea, I can’t recommend him enough.
