Endo and pooing a lot

Hi have finally got pain under some control. I still need to poo 3 times a day sometimes 4. It has become more urgent. I'm on mat leave luckily.

Q do I put up with it?

Change my diet?

See Dr?

Monitor incase gets worse?

I've had 2 endo operations. I've never been asked about it by a Dr. Even codeine didn't make me constipated.

Any advice welcome 🙏

HelloPooing 4 times a day is quite reasonable for me.

But I was given buscopan to slow down my guts for my mri. Maybe that's something to ask your Dr for? I'm sure it says online not to buy it without advice from your GP first, as it can cause obstructions 🤔

If the GP is worried they'd do something for you.

you should always seek advice if you have a change in your bowel movements. Go see your GP or even phone your consultant and ask

Had that problem before I switched to gluten free diet. It's not rare for women with endo to have food intolerances/sensitivities/allergies. Even celiac disease is more common. It is difficult to impossible to find out on your own.

Do you use magnesium daily?

I have magnesium tablets in the kitchen drawer took 2 then forgot. I know changing my diet would be ideal. I just don't know where to start. My husband is a farmer. My kids are 3 and baby weaning age. Not got capacity to plan what I eat right now. Shall I just try to eat less gluten? I tried some gluten free products a few months ago and thought they were awful

Then it is not the magnesium. Still leaves you with many possible causes including endo. I don't think reducing wheat or gluten is helpful if one is the reason for your problems. It would be like having peanut allergy and eating one every day.

In an ideal world we would have much better access to diagnostics and nutritionists amongst other helpful things. This isn't your fault. You do everything you can to improve the quality of your life. But you need help. I would probably try to get tests for fructose and lactose intolerance first. There's also histamine intolerance, wheat sensitivity, wheat allergy, gluten sensitivity, gluten intolerance, food allergies and so on... It's like looking for the needle in a haystack without a doctor.

Not what you're looking for?
