Cyst removal and excision via laparoscopy- Expedited surgery experience?

Hi everyone! My GP has requested to expedite my surgery for cyst removal and endometriosis excision as the cyst has grown slightly and they’ve picked up adhesions on my latest ultrasound that weren’t there before. I was just wondering if anyone else has had their surgery expedited and whether it sped things up that much? Before being expedited the surgery was estimated to be end of the year (although I suspect it would’ve been longer). I have had a pre op so I’ll be ready for any last minute cancellations, but none have come up so far unfortunately. Thanks for your help!

Hi l had a partial hysterectomy plus the things you are being put forward for. I would say if you have this option there is nothing to fear. I am 77 and came out of this very well due to my anaesthetist giving me local anaesthetic injections into each of my incision sites before l was returned to ward.

Wishing you well on your journey back to health

I have had this treatment in the past and |I recovered well. I am glad your GP has done this for you. I do hope it speeds things up for you. I was told that at the moment in Wales expediting a treatment makes little difference but hopefully that isn't the case where you are. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
