Hi and thank you to you, have just arrived home yesterday after brachytherapy treatment to hopefully knock the cancer on the head,

Yes brachytherapy is seen by many people as brutal, but, the treatment itself did NOT hurt but the lower back pain was really strong and unfortunately even 2 droplets of morphine did not kill it. I had to pull out after 13 shots of radio so they have classed it as uncompleted as should have had 20.

I think if l had been given the option of 6 shots at a time to take it to 18 then l would have managed it but the hospital l am under does not have that option.

I would say to anyone who is offered this please try to give it a chance, there was a much younger lady than myself, she was 50 l am 77, and yes she said her back hurt but luckily it only just got to being borderline intolerable when her final couple of shots were delivered.
