I seem to remember watching an interview with an autstrailian set of Dr's a discussion of their research showing women with endometriosis have a quarter more stem cells in their menstrual blood than those without. And other articles show endometriosis shares two types of cells with cancer.

And studies (just reading the other headlines on the page) show women with endometriosis genes also have higher risk of developing breast cancer.

Now these guys in Australia again are linking it to cancer treatment.

When will the medical professionals admit its aggressive cancer in its own right and put us up there with the other cancers getting to the operating theatre at our expense?

Thank you for posting

The frustration here is legion… Great that they have identified associated /shared genes of some cancer genealogy. The lesson's from cancer are multiple and it’s known that there are inherited links for some cancers and with endo / adenomyosis as it runs in families ( not always but often …) as are certain factors that predispose some cancers to take off where this inheritance is present ie high stress levels, infection, inflammation, poor or low quality/ fast food nutrition, toxic environments . These also seem to affect endo sufferers to varying degrees. Both it seems modulate the immune system, alter receptor function and hijack blood sugar management at a cellular level. Here they share /mimic certain behaviours but classing endo as a cancer may not the best answer. Looking at the immune modulation, autoimmunity, the process of lesion formation , and arterial/venal behaviours may yield more successful treatments without the full necessity for aggressive cancer type treatments . Without doubt upgrading the nature of the beast and ditching the “benign” category is really essential to get any meaningful progress.
