It sad to know that endometriosis can really take over your lifeš. I canāt seem to do much each day because it will affect me in some way. I woke up this morning and told myself that I wonāt let it get the best of me today, so I got up and started to do some house cleaning. Before I could even finish. Whilst standing nausea started to hit me with some really bad stomach pains, two seconds in and I was puking and holding onto my belly because the pain was extremely painful.š Sigh, this is what the rest of my life will be like?š Iām only 24. Iām just feeling really helpless, this tends to happen 1-2 weeks before my period. I hate this lifestyle.ā¹ļø
Do anyone else experience this?
Ps: I canāt stop crying, Iām so depressed, I donāt really get support from my family and they living with me so itās hard, plus I have a 2 year old.
Iām having this really sharp pain in the middle of my tummy above my navel, itās just not stopping.š
I was due to have surgery in April but it got canceled. š

Hey, I am really sorry you are having such a hard time. I feel your pain, I am 23 and in a similar situation in terms of pain. I found that I had to research different drugs for nausea and pain and bring that research to my GP and really fight for myself (which is exhausting I know). There are so many different types of anti-inflammatory pain killers and they work differently for different people. It really is worth trying a couple of different ones as having a painkiller that can help even a little bit makes a bad pain day so much better. And add to that something for the nausea as well. Itās really hard. Iāve found that cutting out meat and dairy helped me with the vomiting but I think diet is very personal and I wouldnāt want to tell you what to do. If at all possible though I think it would be really helpful for you to see a counsellor or a pain specialist (can be seen on the nhs) because it sounds like you are having a really hard time and they might be able to provide some coping strategies. Iām sorry your support network arenāt supporting you.
I have had pain from endometriosis from 18 years old and it's only now in my 50's, that I realised that my diet and more importantly boosting my immune system with superfood supplements like, maca powder, hemp, wheatgrass and spirulina which are very rich in iron, helped to improve the pain and nausea. I put the powders in my smoothies with fresh blueberries and figs for calcium, fresh pineapple and other delicious fruits. I also cut down on bread and cheese which increases inflammation. Now my nausea bouts are less. I used to get them a week or two before my period, along with period pains and only had a week breather afterwards once my period was finished. Now the nausea and pain is getting less and less since doing these smoothies every morning. Also squeeze some lemon in warm water with a pinch of cayenne pepper first thing in the morning before drinking/eating anything. This gets rid of the toxins in your body from the night before. Hope this helps.
Aww so sorry you are experiencing this š I have vomited once before when my pain got so bad and I needed an ambulance. My laparoscopy surgery helped but the best thing I ever did was changing my diet! It honestly is so important when it comes to endometriosis. Bread and potatoes cause me so much pain. Everyone is different and this may not be specific to you so I really recommend the AIP diet, check it out online. I hardly have any pain now after years of suffering xxx
Thank you for replying, Iām really considering new ways on handling the pain so thank you so much for the tips.šÆ
Hi,
I used to experience this every month too in the end I started taking anti sickness medication that helped to a point mine usually happened in the middle of the night :(.
I experience low mood and cry for no reason but all that my GP does is prescribe anti depressants so itās a hard one.
Have you talked to your GP about it? It could also be a digestive issue? Have you been referred to a gastroenterologist? You could ask for a referral just to make sure it's not something else. Even if GP says it is IBS, it should be checked by a gastroenterologist as what you describe seems quite severe. Take care.
My daughter has endometriosis and it took years to get it identified (even when she was 14 sheād be nausea and the doctorās would not listen to us) and she was operated on last December. But before that each month she would be feeling nauseous. Her stomach would blow up and she could not do anything. She would spend days just lying in the bathroom floor feeling nauseous. None of the doctors thought it was endometriosis as her bodyās way of dealing with the pain was nausea. She ended up losing her job, selling her house and moving back hone aged 27 as we were 3 hours away and could not help her.
When she returned symptoms got better/ more manageable and we worked out it was her diet that made her worse. I am dairy and red meat free and she returned to eat what i/we ate. If she went and had a take away she would then be ill. She convinced the doctors that she did have endometriosis and her surgeon was great and said if it was his daughter he would operate even though she didnāt have classic symptoms and they never saw nausea. Her op removed over 10 areas of endometriosis, lots around her stomach, appendix scar and bowel area, not on her uterus or ovaries. We think this is why her symptoms were nausea.
She still suffers a bit now but it is manageable and she has no more nausea. Changing to being vegan (with fish and chicken) and not consuming sugar and processed meals is hard for lots of people but it has made her life liveable . So I would agree with the reply above Try changing your diet till you have your op. Try the Leon Vegan cook book. The food is delicious and we can even make vegan cakes and brownies using it! My daughter avoids dairy, red meat and yeast as these all affect her. Yeast is the hardest as itās many things you donāt expect it to be in and obviously itās in most alcohols too.
Yes huge bloating. We call it her endo baby. Regular eating and focused good eating has helped but the boating is still there. Doctors spent years testing her for gastric issues but it wasnāt, just endo. She still has a monthly endo baby bloat and pain just not life ending so she can now work, visit friends and go away.
Iām glad she has a normal life now! I am hoping to find out whatās happening in the next few months. Iāve only been having symptoms for 3 months but it was after an awful Pelvic infection, so my gyno thinks I couldāve developed some endometriosis. I am constantly bloated, itās like a painful/sickly type of bloat. I pray it goes away because I got to it rather early.
Hi! Sorry to hear all this but youāre not alone. Itās frustrating for me too specially most people around me donāt understand the pain and difficulty having endo and the day to day struggle specially when the pain is there. I usually cant go on the day without taking some meds for the pains coz it just donāt go away. Although look for the brighter things... try to maneuver your thoughts to happy ones or to your kid. Life is still worth exploring and experiencing even with endo. Stay strong!
Hi, sorry to hear you are struggling so much. I was about the same age as you when all my problems with nausea and endometriosis started. I used to feel so sick I used to heave in the shower every morning and it became exhausting!
I just wanted to let you know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am nearly a year on from my laparoscopy surgery which helped but didnāt completely cure it. I have also recently had the Mirena fitted which has helped things a lot too. Most days now I donāt feel sick at all and itās made my life so much better - it can be hard because people donāt understand and the doctors donāt really recognise sickness as a symptom so feels like you are going crazy trying to explain how you feel. In the end I paid to go private as I couldnāt cope, but I appreciate that isnāt always an option.
I also really changed my diet and can recommend that helping - read the book The Balance Plan, itās a great starting point x
Nausea has always been my primary symptom which I still think is why it took me so long to get a diagnosis - I've never actually thrown up from it but I still spend the occasional night on the bathroom floor thinking about it! It meant that I spent 3-4 years with a gastroenterologist trying all sorts of exclusion diets which never seemed to make any difference. I had to get counselling a few years back because I was scared to go to my uni classes in case I needed to throw up in the middle of a lecture, wouldn't visit my parents because I was scared of throwing up on the hour long train journey. I got over that by always carrying a vomit bag with me so i was prepared in case it happened, which of course it never has.
I do pass out from the period pain every now and then though, which surprisingly has never scared me the way throwing up does!
I feel so sorry for everything your going through from personal experience I vomited most days for a long time like 3 years! It was so embarrassing at times but after a scan found it was due a hormonal imbalance after having my daughter so as previously mentioned a change in medication helped with this and now I'm only sick if I have a cyst. I would go back to gp and get checked over I know it's a bit scary going in but my doctors is amazing and so clean I actually felt so safe and I had no one to look after my daughter so she came too. I hope they sort it out even if they stop the sickness nothing worse with a little one xx
Hi. I donāt know for sure if I have endometriosis, Iām waiting on a laparoscopy, but my Gynaecologist does suspect it. I deal with INSANE nausea itāll just randomly hit me, I was walking through my parkade yesterday and the smell of the new painted lines almost had me puking. My stomach is also constantly bloated and in pain, especially if I eat fast or depending what I eat. Sometimes I even wake up with the stomach pain. I also deal with a sensation that my vagina and my rectum are stuck together. I saw a GI doctor for a scope and it all came back normal, so they think itās complications-Endo or scar tissue- from the very bad pelvic infection I had.
I am going to try castor oil abdomen packs. I prefer natural remedies over medication. Once a day, use castor oil on your tummy and cover wiith a thin towel then a heating pad. Do it for an hour a day. It should start to help with inflammation and pain after a week but you have to do it daily. Also, try quercetin. Itās a very good natural anti inflammatory.. These are things I am going to be trying once I receive them in the mail-my naturopathic doctor recommended them to me.
Best of luck to you and if youāre ever in pain And feel alone donāt be scared to reach out.
