Endo, Mini pill and symptoms!!

Hi all!

I have been taking the mini pill (desogestrel) for 3/4 years now, it stops my periods completely and worked wonders at the start but for the past 18 months, I am experiencing symptoms around the time that (I think) my period would be due including pelvic, lower back and groin pain, acid reflux, rectal bleeding, headaches with dizziness, fatigue, nausea and UTI symptoms. I seem to have a cycle of symptoms throughout each month but without a period bleed it just seems to be getting more intense as the months pass. I had all of these symptoms before taking the pill along with extremely heavy periods, the pill worked so well for me to start with but everything is coming back.. The doctors confirmed that they think I have endo and am now waiting for a laparoscopy appointment due to the pill no longer working but just wondered if anyone else experiences anything similar!! (I took the mini pill for 3/4 years before and then took a two year break before starting again in 2019)

I was on mini pill too to help with endo pain/ symptoms as I can’t have any other pill due to being on blood thinners.

It stopped my periods for 2 months and that was it 😞 still was super heavy and only had about 3 days off before period starting again ,but helped with other symptoms such as bottom region sharp cramps - when I was told to stop the pill by GP my endo symptoms returned so bad - I’ve just had the coil fitted so 🤞🏻
