I’ve recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and was put on the pill after the Mirena coil wasn’t working for me. I’m absolutely hating being on the pill- it’s made my mood awful and I constantly feel down. I would like to go hormone-free but I’m aware this would be going against medical recommendation. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using hormone-free contraception, especially natural cycles. I would like to give it a go but don’t know whether it will make my symptoms worse.
Thanks in advance!

Good morning, Sadly without the hormones to turn your ovaries off your pain will worsen and your endometriosis will continue to spread. Endometriosis is stimulated by estrogen so to control it you need progesterone to counteract it.
Ask your specialist for prostap or zolodex Injections these are what worked for me with little or no side effects.
Nancy's Nook is a fantastic website for accurate Endometriosis information. It was created to help woman get fully informed information to help them in their journey with Endo. This may help you with your decision. Unfortunately, hormonal treatments only suppress some symptoms of Endo, they don't dissolve or prevent Endometriosis tissues. Excision by an Endometriosis Excision Specialist is the gold standard treatment and the only way to truly remove Endometriosis.
I feel like consultants are still telling us that hormonal therapy can inhibit the growth of the implants. I know I've been told this, it's so annoying.
