Hi everybody, I am 6 months into a 3 month prostap injection and 2 weeks on tibolone. I was expecting the hot flushes to have calmed down a bit by now but they haven't and having issues sleeping because of it. Also have very achey legs. Has anyone else experienced this on tibolone? I'm not sure if I need to give it longer or ask for something else to try.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks for reading x

I don't have endo but this is my second round of Prostap since my first just over 3 years ago to attempt to reduce size of fibroids or at least stop them growing before I had them removed. That was back in 2020 and had monthly injections for 4 months. Fibroids removed and all OK.
I thought or was hoping the fibroid removal would help my very very bad physical PMDD, which it didn't, and as soon as my periods returned in 2020 after about 4 months it was worse than ever. Fast forward to April 2022 and I asked my doctor to speak to my gyne to go back on Prostap (after trying lots of other things) to nip the PMDD in the bud and I had to accept I need my ovaries out (44, no kids).
So all was great for 6 months, on Tibolone too after first month, reduced the amount of hot flushes not eliminates them. But I have good and bad days and nights. Like today no flushes or feeling that hot, other days constantly flushing and hot at night, sweating all day.
On here searching as like you I have crazy leg aches which are getting worse and worse. Had this a bit before the prostap but is absolutely awful now. Both legs feet to top of thigh, left and right. Some days it's just my left (worst leg) other days both, calves or upper and lower. I am healthy weight and exercise, my doctor last week said I do have edema in my calves and these are the side effects. Tempted to come off prostap but I know the 3 weeks a month sliding under my desk feeling fluey is worse!
Compression socks and sleeves really help but they are also quite uncomfortable.
Thanks for your reply. I've stopped taking Tibolone and now have patches instead. They are so much better! Been on them for just over 2 weeks and so far hardly any hot flushes and no night sweats. Still have achey legs sometimes but that is improving. Hopefully I cam stick with these.
