hi all,

Am just after a bit of reassurance. I have my lap tomorrow but also due on my period over the next 5 days, if I come on my period will they still go ahead with it?

Hi - they did my diagnostic lap when I was on a period. I was told that it was fine and even quite helpful as it made it easier to see where the endo was.

I had lap 3 weeks ago and was on period, said it’s no problem. Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Hi, I literally got my period the morning of my last laparoscopy. I was mortified but the consultant said it was fine and it actually helped him to see the problem areas in full swing!

Don't worry, this will have happened to them many times. Hope it goes well x

I had my lap last week and was due on my period a few days after, but I still haven’t come on! So if it doesn’t come by the time you have your lap expect it to be late!

I remember I had surgery on second or 3rd day of my period but I am not sure which. Oh sorry now I see it's a day late the answer. I am glad the surgery went well and I wish you a quick recovery.

thanks for taking the time to reply. I seem to be bleeding quite a bit so assume my period is here now! Unless it’s just trauma from the surgery
