Hello everyone!
Just hoping for some advice. I had surgery 4 weeks ago and started taking the contraceptive pill 2 weeks ago (mid cycle). I was hoping to start straight after surgery at the end of my period but it took some time for me to feel well enough to go and get the pill and the doctor wanted to check me over again before prescribing it. My gynae advised taking it back to back for 6 months.
The last few days I’ve started having some very light spotting and pain in my lower back and lower tummy. My concern is that because I won’t have a period or a withdrawal bleed this pain will continue with no release. I’m also concerned that having pain means that they didn’t remove all the endo and that the surgery isn’t going to help me.
Is the first period or time a period should have been after surgery commonly bad regardless of whether the surgery was successful or not? Or is it an indicator that the surgery hasn’t found everything?
Should I have a break in the pill packets and just let my body feel all the feels for this first time because I started mid cycle or should I keep going back to back?
Advice and experience needed!
Thanks loves xx
