Endo specialist Suffolk area ?!

I was diagnosed in September after a lap, general gynae removed endo from my bladder.

I have excruciating pain in lower back and no amount of pain meds help.

I recently moved and so my current consultants are several hours away and I really need a second opinion from a specialist.

has anyone had success with a specialist in Suffolk area? I am in Bury St Edmunds.

Hi, sorry to hear ur struggle, I'm based in Ipswich, I was under the endo specialist at Colchester, I had a full hysterectomy in march last year and found them amazing, I think they are the closest endo specialist near us, if I can help with anything else please just ask.Good luck x

Hi! Colchester have an Endo centre at the general hospital. That’s your closest I believe 😊

hi, there’s also a specialist centre at the Norfolk and Norwich, not sure if that’s closer for you? I’d guess your previous consultant should be able to transfer your care, rather than you needing to be referred by a GP again.

Hi, you can be referred to Addenbrookes, it is a Specialist Endo Centre. I’m currently seeing Dr Marbrouk who I researched before hand and he is a top endo surgeon that trains others worldwide. He also runs a private practice out of Spire Lea Hospital in Cambridge. I went to see him in December privately because my journey in NHS was not good at my local hospital and so I got a second opinion and cannot speak highly enough of him. There’s also a fantastic physiotherapist in Cambridge that has massively helped with my pelvic and back pain when meds couldn’t but she is only private - Prima Women’s Health. Best of luck!

hello, thanks so much for replying. Yes I’ve found him online and I’m going to see if I can get referred from my current trust to him on nhs. If the wait is too long which I expect it will, I’ll see him privately. He’s about an hour from me, but research shows he’s the best!
