Endo and pelvic adhesions diagnosis.

Hi,

My name's Elena.

I have just been diagnosed (not 100% on which is worse until my surgery) with Endometriosis and I also have Pelvic adhesions from a past laparoscopy surgery for an ovarian cyst. This happened about 10 years ago when I was 16. I have had issue with bleeding, periods and very bad pain ever since.

They are looking at doing another surgery. I'm very nervous about more adhesions being caused and the pain to be even worse, I know it is of course a factor but im just very anxious about going through another laparoscopy and the recovery time.

Just want to see if anyone has been through the same thing/similar or has any advice or notes on healing ect... Thanks x

When you say you have just been diagnosed but not 100% how has this diagnosis been made?

I've had a ton of scans and MRI's over the years but this latest one -which I have an MDT for in december just gone, they were certain it was most likely a mixture of the adhesions and endo, they cannot say what is causing the most of my problems as it is in the same area. So they're doing the laparoscopy to clear out/seperate what they find.

Hi Elena, I hvae had many lap surgery for endo and full of adhesions, its such a battle hey! i started doing a "diet" plan specifically for adhesions it shows you food that aggrevate adhesions and what foods are ok but my gynae said the more surgery the more adhesions we cant win. yes its so nerve wracking but in once sense we need answers as well as relief ne good to discuss this before your surgery do you have a endo specialist nurse. or give endometriosis uk a call good luck

Hi,

I forgot to mention above that the adhesions from previous has caused my left ovary and bowel to be stuck together and endo on top, so yes a struggle!

Hope you are doing okay, what kind of foods did you feel helped you- if any? I didn't know that was a thing so thankyou for giving me that info. :)
