I hope you are keeping well. I had my ovaries removed in October 14 th and a mirena coil put in. I did have a few problems I was left with a catheter for 2 weeks but I have had that removed now but I’m still in a lot of pain from the coil I feel like I’m having contractions. I went to see my consultant and he explained I had a lot of adhesions from my last operation back in 2019 and I could be reforming more adhesions on the right side of my bowel wall. I’m scared 😳 I don’t know 🤷♀️ what to do I don’t want to have to take morphine all the time!! I was never told about these adhesions until 6 weeks after operation when I phoned up and said I’m in a lot of pain. I’m not sure where to go from here maybe I just need to give it time sorry I’m emotional menopausal mess🥺 x
Hidden 💚I am so sorry that you are feeling like this after your operation. You are not being overly emotionally and you should not have to suffer. I had a similar reaction to the coil also but I was not post surgery, so please appreciate all you are coping with all at once. It's been a week since your post, how are you feeling now?
Please do not hesitate to pick up the phone and speak with us one on one and in real time, if that's something that would help you. Our Helpline is operated by trained volunteers who have a personal experience of endometriosis.
