Hi
Where are you at with your Endo?
I was diagnosed in 2020 at 51, and had a hysterectomy the same year due to Endo, inflammation and fibroids.
I’m taking Sage for any potential menopause symptoms.
You can manage the menopause with hrt. I use body identical hormones ( estrogen and add back progesterone) and testosterone. It would be worth having a consultation with a menopause specialist as you can use hrt and manage endo. Try looking at menopause care online they have specialists who can help you manage both.
Hi Charliebh12, I thought my symptoms were the menopause but when I started using Oestrogel once a day in the morning with Utrogestan at night, my symptoms seemed worse so I stopped applying Oestrogel because perhaps adding oestrogen is not helping manage the symptoms?? I was taking just the Utrogestan for 4 months and the endo was dormant but when I add the Oestrogel, I start getting pain from the ovary that has a new endometrioma... So I keep restarting the Oestrogel when I feel that my symptoms feel like the menopause and then after the 3rd day, I stop it again because my symptoms seem to be worse than before I applied the Oestrogel... I don't know what to do anymore
Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Have you tried using less estrogen every day. Tiny bit and then build up. Too much estrogen can cause cramping etc but also this can happen when you haven't given it enough time to balance. I would start off small and build up if you can. Sending positive vibes and hoping this is getting sorted for you. Do try a menopause consultant they can be really fantastic if you haven't already X
So are you on HRT now? I get dizziness as well and I think it is due to the oestrogel. But I am back on it and persisting. I should stick with it continuously for at least a month... I was using only one pump in the morning but I then increased to one in the morning and one at lunch as I thought that perhaps what I needed was more to see if the dizziness might be due to low oestrogen rather than high... how do we know how much to use? It's tricky. Some women use 4 or 5 or even 6 pumps per day. Lots of my symptoms have improved like joint pain and fatigue, stiffness, dry eyes, my mood is much better too but the dizziness is always there on and off. I wonder if it's my thyroid. I am taking Iodine also... how are you feeling 3 months since you posted? I think I might need testosterone in the future for memory as it is really awful and my concentration and recall. For that I read that you can only get privately so I'd have to make an appointment with a menopause specialist eventually... All the best to you!
