does anyone know if people should come off oral contraceptive before lap dignostic surgery? Does it make it harder to see endo if someone is on the pill up until surgery? Or does it not make any difference

You need to come off the combined pill 4 weeks before; you can stay on progestins.
A lap must only be done by a gynaecologist with at least a special interest in endo so that is the most important thing - appropriate expertise above all else.
Some like you to be on GnRH agonists (eg zoladex) prior to surgery to reduce inflammation and make surgery cleaner while others prefer you off it so as to see endo and inflammation in all its glory. But it shouldn't make any difference to a skilled surgeon and there are no guidelines that recommend either above the other.
I’ve got my lap next week and I’m on the combined pill. I’m seeing an private endo specialist and she hasn’t advised me to come off the pill. I feel there is so much conflicting info out there!! X
