lump on cervix

hi all

question for you, I recently found a couple of small bumps/ lumps on my cervix not painful to the touch but I think are pretty noticeable to the touch.

I have just come back from an appt where she looked through a speculum and said all she could see was some blood but nothing else. I told her I could feel them right there and then but she didn’t do an internal exam…

Having been diagnosed with endo I’ve had plenty of pelvic checkups and I would say I’ve also had an internal exam so was quite confused when she didn’t do one especially as I said I could feel a lump.

Does anyone know of this is how things are usually done?

I just feel like I didn’t get any kind of outcome other than basically being told to there’s viable there. I’m fairly skeptic all about gynae care anyway as I waited 12 years for an endo diagnosed and got incorrectly told on two occasions that I didn’t have PCOS before diagnosed a few years ago.

Should I go back and get a second opinion?

I’ve got my smear due in early oct but kind of wanted a conclusion before then as I’m a little concerned as my periods have also gone back to being v. irregular and I’ve had a lot more pain than usual of late.

Thanks all xx

Hi there! I think seeking a second opinion is a viable option. Anytime you aren’t satisfied with the care you received, you have that right. You know your body better than anyone. If something feels off to you, it is definitely worth investigating. I hope all goes well and that you get some answers.

Hi I would also agree with lady above. I would go for second opinion u never always get the answers correctly when then tell u something . I have this problem they made it look like it was all in my head I have more then 1 just above my ribcage on both sides I also get alot this in both my breasts I'm gonna get scans done for this. But keep eye on it if gets any bigger. As mine started small and some has got a bit bigger and still have no clue what they are. But mine is now starting to get really painful even just touching them. Before it started of not painful. Plz keep eye on it and get second opinion.
