Hi everyone,
I posted a few days ago to ask advice about resting after a diagnostic lap (+ or - treatment if found) and just wanted to let you all know that they found it!!! After over a decade of scans, blood tests, different "working diagnoses" and trialling so many medications. Finally they found the cause! Gyne said it was moderate endo, mostly on my ovaries but also my bowel was fused to my anterior wall. He was a specialist and freed it though, so I'm glad i went to him and he was able to deal with it so well. I believe because my bowel was involved it is classed as stage 3, but he just said "moderate" so I'm not 100%. Anyway, I just wanted to say to anyone who is doubting if they should keep pushing for a lap. Please don't stop fighting! I had all my scans come back totally normal, every single scan said I was fine. Please don't think you are crazy! Get seen by a proper decent gyne who knows what to look for and how to treat it. I'm now on day 2 of my recovery and feel in lots of pain, but mentally I'm so so relieved. Please don't stop fighting for your own answers, your pain is real and a "normal" scan doesn't mean that endo isn't hiding. If I had not been seen and had my surgery I dread to think how bad my endo would have spread.
