Hey, I have Stage 3/4 Endometriosis and it has been identified on my urethra and I am waiting for my next op to hopefully be able to remove the majority of it. Has anyone else experienced a severely weak bladder and does anyone have any suggestions which may have helped them?? I could go to the toilet every 10 minutes??

Hi, I can only sympathise it is horrible having to go for a wee what feels like every minute of the day .I have compression of the ureter .It felt like no one was interested in the constant weeing and burning pain it caused ,I was like that for a year .I had a diagnoses Laparoscopy and ureterolysis 3 weeks ago and it has eased the amount that I go ,but not the burn ..I think it’s something that isn’t really dealt with ,I was initially under a Urologist and he didn’t offer any help or advice .It’s not much help to say but when they remove the majority of it,I believe you will have ease from constant bathroom runs.good luck hope you don’t have much longer to wait.

Your GP can prescribe medication that delays urination if you are getting ‘urgency’. Also although there is a physical cause if you are going to have to wait it might help to look at bladder training - you try to teach your bladder to wait a little bit longer each time as it can get used to you going frequently and send frequent signals ( hope I have explained that correctly). Specialist nurse or physio might advise.

Hope you get some improvement soon, it is a really difficult issue to cope with.
