For as long as i can remember ive suffered with the worst pains in my lower abdomen to the point where i can no longer stand and struggle to sit up… ive had ultrasounds and nothings ever come about but im almost certain after doing research its endometriosis.

Hi there. I would just push your doctor for an exploratory laparoscopy. In most cases endometriosis wont show up in an ultrasound and the only way to be diagnosed is via laparoscopic surgery.
If its affecting your daily life and your suffering please do what you can to push for more from your doctor. Unfortunately sometimes it is up to us to pressure for more answers. We shouldn't have to but that is sometimes the case.
Ps anti inflammatories and hotwater bottles are ur best friend.
A lap is no longer the gold standard for diagnosis. A scan is the first step but the problem is that it is usually done by a sonographer not skilled in looking for endo. Peritoneal endo still won't usually show but for deep endo an expert ultrasound is excellent and can see endo that wouldn't show at a lap.
Hi it's a laproscopy but I had a transvaginal scan few weeks ago they picked up endometriosis and did ask how is that possible the consultant said technology and research gives them idea what to look for hope that helps x
