IVF Referral

Hi everyone. I recently had my laparoscopy and was told the only way to conceive is IVF. Does any know if I will be referred or do we need to do this ourselves? Thanks!

Hi, I also have endo and need ivf to concieve. My GP referred me once I’d recovered from the lap x

Yes, you will need to ask your GP to refer you. It may take months to get an initial appointment (dep on waiting lists in your area). Best of luck

Hey,

I asked them after the laparoscopy that if Im off the pill and waiting for referal what if cyst comes back before the IVF referralgoes through, then again waiting for laparo and going in circles? They told me it will be faster because the specialist endo team will refer me. On the 6 month follow up, I asked them again and they told me ohh, its not us but the GP has to do it. So definitely go to the GP.

Hi, out of interest do you know why you can only conceive through IVF? I had my lap and excision surgery in Feb but still no luck in conceiving naturally but I haven’t been told that I shouldn’t be able to. Just wondered if you had a specific reason

Hi there, yes so I have kissing ovaries I was told and everything is kind of stuck to everything, bowel, bladder etc. if I did fall pregnant high chance it would be ectopic unfortunately. The consultant told me after my lap. Hope the helps x
