I had a laparoscopy last year and hade grade 4 endo diagnosed and mostly removed. Since then I have been pretty much pain free (although due to fertility treatment I've only actually had 4 periods in that time). Before the surgery my symptoms were very much tied to my period. However, for the past few days I have been experiencing abdominal pain and bloating but am not on my period or near to it. It feels like everything is inflamed. Ibuprofen does help. This has also happened a couple of months ago but that was just after a miscarriage so I put that down to the after effects of that. I wondered if this could be a flare up? It doesn't feel intense enough to go to hospital....
Thanks

Hi, sorry to hear you experience all this. I am in a kinda similar situation. I was actually thinking that I have my ever first endo flare up recently. I've been diagnosed with stage 4 endo, frozen pelvis an all that. Sometimes I'm almost pain-free but this month and the month before were quite bad. Right after my period I already have one-sided pain similar to ovulation but it can't be that so early. I don't know really, but painkillers are not much useful.I'm trying to book a consultation at the nearest sexual health clinic but everything is shut due to Bank holiday this week so here we go... I hope you feel better soon.
I did have an appendicectomy, it had perforated and very disgusting apparently! I ended up in hospital for 5 days as I had a fever they needed to get on top of.... this is a problem with endo - high pain threshold means I went to hospital much later than I should have done as I didn't think the pain was that bad!
