First Ultrasound .. what does this mean

Hello,

I had my first ultrasound & transvaginal 7 weeks ago now. At the ultrasound they noted that my uterus/cervix was thickened and my right ovary significantly enlarged.

My doctor called me that day with the results and said i was now on urgent referral for gynaecology. I was also sent for a CA-125 which came back healthy and normal. My doctor said i should be seen by gynaecology within two weeks but the hospital downgraded the urgent referral when my CA-125 came back fine to the next urgent catergory. The wait time for this was 6/8 weeks to be seen but still nothing and no letter

I was wondering if anyone has ever had the same results come back from an ultrasound and what was said by gynaecology / next steps after this. I am really suffering and feel like my symptoms could be endo.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated

I have. They were clearly worried ultrasound showed thickening which is a sign of endo but can be a sign of cancer. But your Ca125 being ok would rule out cancer so you’re presumably on endo pathway. I had an emergency appointment and tests and thankfully no cancer found. Just deep endo.
