Hi Mylovepari1

Sorry to hear you're having a really tough time of it at the moment, especially if you are considering resigning from your job. To find out more about your rights as an employee we have a guide titled 'Endo: A guide to your rights at work' that can be downloaded from endometriosis-uk.org/resources. This link also contains personal stories from other endometriosis sufferers about how they have managed their condition at work, which hopefully will be of some help.

I'm also wondering if there are any non-drowsy pain relief options that could work for you? You might want to look at our 'Endometriosis Treatment Information Pack' for a comprehensive list of pain relief options you could try/consider. This can be downloaded from endometriosis-uk.org/endome...

I would also suggest you go back to your GP/gynaecologist to discuss the constant bleeding and the issues with your legs.

Wishing you all the best - I hope all the above information helps x

So sorry to hear you're still in pain and that your first follow-up appointment after surgery has been cancelled. While you're waiting for the follow-up appointment to be rescheduled, please ring your GP or NHS direct on 111 as it really sounds like you need to see a medical professional as soon as possible to talk about how you're suffering. You shouldn't have to put up with constant pain.

We also have a free helpline (0808 808 2227), which is run by volunteers who have personal experience of endometriosis. The helpline is open most days and you'll always find warmth and understanding at the end of the line, so please do reach out - the times it is open can be found here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline

You may also find our support groups useful as a place where you can discuss endometriosis and the issues you are facing with other sufferers. Please visit: endometriosis-uk.org/find-a... to see if there's one in your area. If not, we also have an online support group.

Look after yourself - take care x

Please contact NHS direct on 111 to get some help with your pain symptoms, vomitting and blobked bowels. You shouldn't have to suffer. I have a good pain management system in place though it still surprises me or breaks through sometimes but it has taken a while of adding meds and discussing my use of them fully with drs to get it right for me. You need to discuss your symptoms and pain management with your doctor, OOH Dr or get yourself to A & E if it's totally unmanageable. Try some deep breathing too, use an ap if necessary, if you feel that you can't breathe and are holding your breath or hyperventilating because if the pain, which I can totally understand, you will start to feel really anxious/panicky, which will make the pain more unmanageable. Deep breaths and get some help.

Btw, I'm really sorry you are experiencing so much pain. And that you haven't had your follow up appt. That so shit, I got missed off twice too for follow ups and wasn't offered them. I felt so isolated with the pain. I complained and have my appt tomorrow now. Have you been offered another date for your follow up?
