Possible endo on ultrasound referred for mri

I was sent for an urgent referral to a Gyno as I was experiencing pain in my right side and my ca125 was 109 ! Gyno sed he didn’t think I had anything to worry about ! I had an ultrasound in which they stated I had a heart shaped uterus and it looked like I had possible endometriosis! I asked about cysts and she sed no there r follicles but they r normal! Since then the Gyno wrote to me and sed I needed to have an mri as it looks like my diagnosis will end up being endo but they wanted more info on the cysts as they were not entirely typical of endo ! I felt relief after my ultrasound but now I have had the mri I feel terrified again …

It sounds like they just want some clarity, it’s good that they’re exploring all roots. Try not to worry, cysts aren’t always common with endo, so they probably just want more information 😊 I’ve got a referral for endo to a gynae in June, but I had an ultrasound which showed no cysts.

I think it’s chocolate cysts which are endo related, but an MRI is a much clearer image. Waiting for things is horrible, but hopefully you’ll have some answers soon and your mind will be put at rest.
