Is anyone aware of whether it's possible to have eggs harvested while waiting for a laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst and fibroids?

It definitely is possible - my surgeon even advised that this should take place prior to excision surgery as risks of damage to ovaries were so high. Whether it’s actually possible to undertake is usually a question for fertility team - in my case they advised that I shouldn’t undergo egg collection as the stimulation of follicles within my ovaries (large endometrioma) & distorted positioning of everything down there for me made it all v high risk as a procedure to access ovaries & collect eggs safely. Aware of others who have successfully undergone egg freezing prior to surgery & have that peace of mind. Definitely a question to ask your Surgeon & referral to see whether you would be able to get a referral. Really hope you get the answers you need. A. X
