Hi, I'm 28 years old and was diagnosed with stage II endometriosis two years ago. Now I am considering getting pregnant but I'm afraid it might be too dificult. Do you have any tips or experiences with endometriosis and pregnant you could share?

I'm 38 and have stage 3 endo and I did struggle with fertility. I know that's not what you want to hear but we kept trying and now have one 5 year old daughter, conceived naturally after 18 months trying and one 1 year old daughter conceived via IVF after 2 years trying naturally. I would suggest that if you feel ready now then start now because you still have plenty of time if it does take a while. Lots of people with endo don't have problems conceiving at all so hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones. Good luck!

I’m 32 and was diagnosed with stage 3 endo 3 years ago. We decided to wait before trying as we weren’t ready but then tried and I became pregnant after two months! I tried to just not overthink but otherwise I’m not super healthy or active, just kept doing everything I was before and didn’t make any changes. I did however come off the pill about 8 months before trying to let my body readjust a bit.

It’s so tricky as it seems to be so unknown - some people have little endo and struggle, some have stage 4 and conceive easily. For me it’s the unknown and feeling helpless that’s the most difficult thing with endometriosis.

Good luck! :)

Hi Lisa, that's so interesting to read. I'm 33 and have my post-surgery appointment today (!) and I know that questions about getting pregnant will start coming up, but I'm just not ready. Simple as that, just not ready. And I know I can't rush it, because it wouldn't be good for the baby or the pregnancy. So with my husband, we've decided to not try this year and I felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders actually... And I'm trying to just go with the flow and accept things that will come, or won't come my way. x

It’s such a tough decision but we felt the same and didn’t want to rush something until we were ready. Good luck at your post-surgery appointment, great time to ask lots of questions. You definitely have to go with your gut feelings and so happy to hear a weight off your shoulders! Xx

I got diagnosed 2 weeks ago with stage 3 endo and also had 3 small chocolate cysts. I have tried to conceive for 2 years with no luck at all. I’ve just had a lap to excise all endo so fingers crossed! I’ve read that it’s easier to get pregnant with stage 1 or 2 endo so who knows!! Do you have lots of pain and symptoms?

Age 30, had stage 3 endo, two ops, removed in 2019. Unfortunately lost one child earlier this year... Happy to report i'm currently 21 weeks pregnant. I came off the pill about 18 months before I got pregnant.

I will say, i've been referred to alot of extra appts because of my endo (obstetrics and so on) but they currently believe it's a straight forward pregnancy.

Good luck!
