Ideally, I'd like to find someone who could help with the whole body: endo pain, period pain, chronic pain and gut symptoms. Many thanks.
Hi, I was wondering if acupuncture works ... - Endometriosis UK
Hi, I was wondering if acupuncture works for painful periods. I would be immensely grateful for a recommendation of a good acupuncturist. tx
Sorry I have no recommendations for you XHowever, I wanted to drop a line to say, I would also love to hear from people who may have recommendations for the same combination types of pain!
Most complementary therapies take a holistic approach to all your different symptoms. I found nutritional therapy helpful and homeopathy. I know some people have found acupuncture good for pain too.
Sorry that I'm not an acupuncturist and have no recommendations. But as acupuncture is a part of TCM, I thought you may be interested in trying Chinese herbal medicine. My friend has painful periods too and she was diagnosed with Endo. Then, she took the herbal medicine Fuyan Pill. She said it really relieved her pain.
I've found acupuncture hugely helpful, both for general pelvis pain and period pain. It's also helped with other symptoms like headaches and fluid retention. It's a whole body, holistic approach so the acupuncturist would work to address all of your symptoms. The directory of practitioners on the British Acupuncture Council's website would be a good place to find someone local to you. That way you'll know they are properly qualified. acupuncture.org.uk/membersh...
