So in 2017 I experienced extreme pain in abdomine to the point where was in, out of hospital. Had bloods scans done cldnt figure out why. Anyway 2018 I explained symptoms to GP and he said he was 99% sure I had endo. Get referral to gyane and they try me on pill. Didnt work so got zoldex injections too stop period and pain which it did. So, today 3rd Feb I had hysterectomy. Just womb removal and tubes from what can gather( still groggy) I asked consultant did he find any endo in round the areas and he said no but thats not to say it waz in the womb. Im worried ive gone through all this for nothing :(

Sorry you feel like that after going through the surgery. Were you ever officially diagnosed with endo? I think you need to follow up with the surgeon for more explanation of why they did the surgery and how they think things will improve for you now, to reassure yourself. Probably better to do this once you have recovered a bit, anaesthetic and painkillers will probably be still affecting you at the moment so it’s harder to put your points across.

Hope you have a good recovery, take it easy on yourself.

Hi. Probes cldnt detect it but one dr said possible 3% there. The surgeon said the zoledex injections have more than likely helped it. They are going to examine womb and let me no results.. I do think maybe he shldnt have went ahead with surgery but im hoping no more problems. X

Aw you must be feeling so confused. I was just talking about my experience the other day which has similarities to yours! I think that after a procedure - specifically one that involves general anesthetic - we should be given a written report about what happened during the procedure. Everyone is groggy afterwards and it's so difficult understand and remember what was said. We should be given something in written form so that we can take it away with us and read it afterwards when we are ready to take information in properly. It's so frustrating! I'm always so grateful for the NHS but there are definitely things that could be better and this is one of them.

You could try going to your GP to see if they can get any further information for you?

Take care and take it easy while you are healing, your body and mind are vulnerable right now, and you need as much TLC as you can get x

Hi thanks. Im waiting now to see the outcome of the examination of womb. There is also possibility the zoledex injections put endo into remission ( im hoping so). If not im thinking might need take things further x
